Formula to Calculate Percentage for a Course
To calculate the percentage for an individual course:
Formula :
Final Marks = (Assignment Marks × 0.30) + (Term-End Marks
× 0.70)
Example:
Let’s say you scored:
- Assignment
Marks: 80 out of 100
- Term-End
Exam Marks: 60 out of 100
Then:
Final Marks = (80 × 0.30) + (60 × 0.70)
= 24 + 42
= 66 marks
So, your final marks for that course will be 66 out
of 100.
Calculating
Overall Percentage
Once you’ve calculated your final marks for all courses,
follow these steps:
- Add
the final marks of all courses.
- Divide the
total by the number of courses to get the average.
- That
average is your overall percentage.
Example:
Let’s say your final marks in 5 courses are:
- 66,
72, 60, 85, 77
Total Marks = 66 + 72 + 60 + 85 + 77 = 360
Overall Percentage = 360 / 5 = 72%
